This week, Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) activated the Florida small business emergency bridge loan program, which has made $50 million avaliable to small businesses in the state of Florida.
The move to activate the program is in response to Hurricane Ian and is available to many South Florida counties. This region of the state that was adversely impacted by Hurricane Ian happens to be one of the state's most dense producers of agriculture.
The counties of Charlotte, Collier, DeSoto, Flagler, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Highlands, Hillsborough, Lake, Lee, Manatee, Monroe, Orange, Osceola, Pinellas, Polk, Putnam, Sarasota, Seminole, St. Johns, and Volusia, will see $10 million allocated to recover from the storm.
