Aaron Bean on the Border Crisis: 'It's Time to Say Enough'

State Senator Aaron Bean (R) is a Republican running for U.S. Congress after an 8-year career in the Florida Legislature. A former mayor of the City of Fernandina Beach, a Jacksonville University graduate, and a lifelong Floridian, Sen. Bean is looking to step up to the plate in Washington, D.C. to represent Florida's 4^th District and tackle issues like the ongoing "Biden Border Crisis."

As the nation is counting down the days before the midterm elections, which will take place on November 8^th and political ads are getting more apparent and more vicious, Bean prides himself on the fact that he hasn’t spent any funds on attack ads (or negative ads as he puts it) this campaign cycle.

The Floridian Publisher Javier Manjarres was able to secure an exclusive interview with Bean earlier this week, where the longtime and popular legislator prided himself on not putting out any negative mail this election cycle.

“I’m proud; I know the exact number just off the top of my head of how much negative campaigns that our campaign spent during the primary. And actually, this number is still valid during the general (election), it’s zero. We haven’t spent any money attacking,” said Bean.

However, earlier in the conversation, Manjarres gave Bean the nod to dive deeper into the issues plaguing the nation.

When asked about the crisis at the southern border and the role that the Biden administration has to play with the situation, Aaron Bean stated that the Biden admin’s response to the border has “sent a message” to those around the world looking to possibly come here illegally.

“They’re (Biden) sending the message worldwide. Everyone can just walk across the border. There is no security, there is no border at all. It’s causing massive problems across our country,” stated Bean. He would go on to mention that “it’s time to say enough.”

“Drugs coming in, children being trafficked…it’s time to say enough and whatever the Congress can do…It’s also holding people accountable," added Bean.

Bean, who is a staunch ally of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and has recently praised the Governor's hurricane recovery efforts,  will square off against LaShonda Holloway (D) by after the Democratic nominee barely made it past the primary winning by less than ½ of a percentage point in the August Democratic congressional primary.

Aaron Bean defeated Erick Aguilar (R) by more than 42 percentage points in the primary.
