Vice President Kamala Harris's speaking style has gained notoriety and has become a favorite point of mockery for Republicans and Conservatives. In the most recent instance, Harris says the United States "has a very important relationship, which is an alliance with the Republic of North Korea."
Standing at a podium with a helicopter behind her, Harris adds that this alliance "is strong and enduring." Twitter account RNC Research posted the clip Thursday morning.
Harris visited the Korean DMZ in the midst of her trip to Asia, where she attended the funeral of assassinated Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. Additionally, the trip included talks with South Korea and Japan about the threat of North Korea and China. Shortly after the visit, North Korea launched two additional test missiles.
Nonetheless, the flub has been subjected of mockery by Republicans. Most of the criticism comes from the fact that Harris has yet to visit our own southern border, which she said in August is "secure." While Florida's representatives have been tied down with Hurricane Ian, there will be no doubt Republicans will criticize her slip up. Even Charlie Crist has said Texas is suffering a border crisis.
