DeSantis Sends Illegal Immigrants to Martha's Vineyard, but Biden Deports More

Share

It has been confirmed that Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) flew approximately 50 illegal immigrants arriving in Texas further north to Martha's Vineyard. Reason for this is to force Democrats to live up to their "sanctuary state" promise, which Gov.DeSantis says is the cause for record illegal border crossings.

Naturally, Democrats are angry. Florida House Rep. Angela Nixon (D-14) tweeted Thursday morning that such a move is, of course, "racist." Moreover, any Democrats who do not speak out against him are "part of the problem."

"If you have a problem with me calling Governor #DeSantis a racist, but not his actual racists tendencies, policies and commentary…you’re a part of the problem. That goes for Democrats too! Elected Democrats as well. I’m not gonna sit idly by and allow this man to erode democracy," her tweet reads.

Other Democrats have been equally vociferous in their objections. Rep. Anna Eskamani (D-47) equivocated the move to human trafficking, saying "it's awful" and that DeSantis is "exploiting migrants."

"ICYMI: “Human Trafficking is the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of people through force, fraud or deception, with the aim of exploiting them for profit.” DeSantis exploits immigrants (including kids) to earn political points w/his base. It’s awful," she tweeted.

However, it should be noted that DeSantis is merely reshuffling those who have already arrived here illegally. He is not deporting them, as the Biden administration has already surpassed President Barack Obama's record of deportations, expelling 700,000 migrants in a single year as of January 2022.

This data comes from the far-left Black Agenda site, which notes that "while many Democrats were outraged at Trump’s border wall, the large number of migrant “children in cages,” and lambasted his regime for it’s [sic] racist and inhumane treatment of some of the world’s most vulnerable people, they have been generally silent on Biden."
