The DeSantis War Room continues its daily targeting of Democratic gubernatorial nominee Charlie Crist. The DeSantis campaign posted a video on social media of Crist criticizing Gov. Ron DeSantis for not wearing a mask during the COVID-19 pandemic, invoking other Democratic leaders, including President Joe Biden of wearing a mask to prevent the spread of the disease.
Crist is seen in a room alone (circa 2021) questioning DeSantis’s decision not to wear a mask, and if there was going to be a “super spreader” event because of his refusal to wear a mask.
“The leader of our state not wearing a mask. I mean C’mon. That's not what Joe Biden does. It's not with Kamala Harris does. it's not what Debbie Wasserman Schultz does or Darren Soto or myself. I'm alone in a room, so there's nobody within six feet of me, but you know it's that kind of leadership that we need to calculate in this situation. You know are we gonna have a super spreader? You know can we have better leadership from Tallahassee,” said Crist.
Well, it appears as if Crist himself has scrapped his mask.
Remember, Crist demanded that DeSantis implement a mask and vaccine mandate.
We didn’t have to go far in digging up images and videos of a maskless Crist holding “super spreader” events and not keeping 6 feet away from supporters at his campaign events.
Interestingly enough, as Crist has now joined Gov. DeSantis by not wearing a mask in public, those still concerned with the spread of COVID can purchase “pleated” Charlie Crist for Governor mask online. Florida Democrats are selling these weird-shaped "Vote" masks for $15. Why? Crist and just about every Democrat has tossed their mask.
Again, even though COVID is still around, Democrats have tossed their mask and the other restrictions they once peddled and demanded DeSantis implement executive orders to mandate those restrictions.
Early on in the pandemic, DeSantis did wear a mask and gloves at press events around the state, but later decided to ditch the protected gear after receiving the vaccine, and after medical reports showed that mask did not prevent the spread of the virus.
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which still gives suggestions on the use of masks, is now recommending that “everyone 6 months and older” be giving a COVID-19 vaccine.
CDC recommends COVID-19 vaccines for everyone 6 months and older and boosters for everyone 5 years and older, if eligible. Some people in your family may need to take more steps to be better protected from COVID-19, including
