As the last votes were counted, the Florida primaries came to a close. There are numerous closely watched races, and considering that the stages have been set for the November election, campaigning is expected to be even more aggressive.

Some results from Tuesday night's primary election include Florida Rep. Charlie Crist (D) with 59.7% of support defeating Florida Agriculture Nikki Fried's (D) 35.3% in support to attain the Democratic nomination in the November gubernatorial race. Fried has vacated her post, and the November race will now be between Senate President Wilton Simpson (R) and Naomi Esther Blemur (D) who gained 65% and 50% of support in their respective races.

On Twitter, Crist announced his victory by writing, "I'm Charlie Crist and I'm proud to be your Florida Democratic nominee that will defeat Ron DeSantis this November."

In District 27, Florida Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar (R) won 80.8% of the vote in her race, and she'll be facing state Senator Annette Taddeo (D), who won 67.8% of support in her race.

In District 23, Florida Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D) won 61.1% of the vote and will face Joe Budd (R), who won 37.6% of the vote.

Anna Paulina Luna (R) is once again heading to the November election for District 13, having won 44.5% of the vote. Her opponent will be Eric Lynn (D), who ran uncontested.

Cory Mills defeated State Rep. Anthony Sabatini by 15 percentage points in Florida's 7th Congressional District.

Laurel Lee won her congressional primary race over State Senator Kelli Stargel and State Rep. Jackie Toledo. Lee will be the next congresswoman in FL's 15 District.

Lauren Book outlasted Barbara Sharief in their nasty Democratic primary race. Book will be reelected to the State Senate.
