Rubio Says 'Pelosi Puppet' Val Demings Will 'Follow the line' in Voting

With Florida Rep. Val Demings (D) attributing inflation to corporate price gouging, Florida Senator Marco Rubio (R) continues to warn that Demings and the Democratic Party have been detrimental to the United States' growth. In an interview with News4Jax over the weekend, Senator Rubio criticized Demings' voting record as one that will "follow the line with the most radical elements."

Voters have signaled that issues like the economy and the supply chain crisis are at the top of the list of concerns that are important to them heading into the election. With the Biden administration now facing the lowest approval rating it has had so far, political pundits argue that this could have an effect on Democrats seeking election across the country.

The Senate race between Demings and Rubio is one wherein Democrats argue they can win, but Senator Rubio continues to drive his campaign by calling Demings a "Pelosi Puppet" that will "follow the line" and vote on whatever Senator Chuck Schumer (D) tells her to.

In regards to the supply chain crisis concern, Rubio expressed that "it really comes down to the very basics that we learn in economics: supply and demand."

"We’ve had a shortage of supply because of Covid disruptions in the case of oil and gas because of the war. And also because of domestic decisions have been made by this administration and an increase in supply, particularly when you pump a bunch of money into the economy, 1.9 trillion dollars the way Biden did last March when the Democrats passed that bill," Rubio said.

Calling the Democratic Party a party where 'it doesn’t matter what you personally believe," Rubio said that "you have to follow the line with the most radical elements in that party and if you don't, then they come after you like they've done Kyrsten Sinema in Arizona like they’ve tried to do to Joe Manchin and they try to demonize and destroy you."

In contrast, Rubio explained that the Republican Party has "people that vote differently all the time and we'll move on to the next issue because we allow for those differences of opinion." Instead, he called Demings a lawmaker that has "voted with Pelosi 100% of the time. She gets to the Senate, she’ll vote with Schumer 100% of the time. It doesn’t matter what she believes, whatever he tells her she needs to do, that’s what she’s going to fall in line and do because that’s what her record is.”
