Just as President Joe Biden continues to blame the skyrocketing rate of inflation and all of the country’s economic woes on anyone he can think of, Democratic gubernatorial candidate, Rep. Charlie Crist, is blaming Florida’s housing costs on who else, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

“Things Florida homeowners cannot afford: - Soaring housing costs - Property insurance reaching all-time highs - 4 more years of failed leadership from Ron DeSantis Raise your hand if you think Florida deserves a better deal,” stated Rep. Crist.

In response to Rep. Crist’s assertion that Gov. DeSantis has failed Floridians since becoming governor of Florida, DeSantis reelection campaign team answered The Floridian’s request for comment on what Crist had said, saying that Biden was the only one to blame for the current inflation.

"It's no secret Joe Biden has made living more expensive for Americans everywhere. Democrats’ inflationary policies are increasing the cost of everything, but Governor DeSantis has prepared the state of Florida to make sure that, if Biden plunges the U.S. into a recession, Florida has a cushion with this year’s fiscal surplus. We recommend Florida Democrats call on the leader of their party to fix the fiscal mess the President has gotten us into, stated Lindsey Curnutte, DeSantis’s campaign spokesperson.

DeSantis has boasted that Florida is "thriving" and will weather the coming economic story because the state has been able to stockpile a significant state surplus of cash.

A full-blown recession is expected to take place next year, but many economists believe that the inevitable economic recession is already here. Oil is expected to drop to $65 a barrel.
