Gas prices are still at historic highs and diesel hit its highest rate ever today at $5.798. Those in the Biden administration haven’t necessarily provided solutions to bring down gas prices but have offered the blame game to the American people. After weeks of blaming Putin and the “Putin Price Hike,” President Joe Biden (D) has switched to blaming Republicans for the price of gas and irredeemable inflation.

“The problem is, Republicans in Congress are doing everything they can to stop my plan to bring down costs on ordinary families. That’s why my plan is not finished, and why the results aren’t finished either," said President Biden when he addressed the AFL-CIO.

Instead of solutions to bring the gas price down, the United States Secretary of Transportation in the Biden administration, Pete Buttigieg (D), put an emphasis on electric vehicle purchases despite the average cost of an EV coming in at over $55,000, according to Kelley Blue Book.

Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL) believes the sound of high gas prices is music to the ears of progressives and those in the Biden administration because it will force the American people to trade in their gas vehicle for an electric one.

“Deep down, the Biden Admin & the progressives believe the high gas prices are a good thing. They hope it will get expensive enough that you’ll want to trade in your truck for an electric vehicle,"said Rep. Waltz.

Waltz also commented on the way in which the Biden administration is going to dictatorships and human rights offenders for oil.

“They’re going to turn to dictatorships like Iran or Venezuela, and…to see the president of the United States going on bended knee as a supplicant practically begging the Saudis is just another blow to American credibility around the world. It’s pathetic. But that’s where these misguided policies have taken us,"added Waltz.

While the national gas price average is at $5, some states, such as California, have an average higher than $6 and have seen prices at some stations to reach 7 or 8 dollars.
