[Warning: Graphic Video/Audio] Pro-Abortion Rally in Florida Turns Violent

Share

Fort Lauderdale— A rally to oppose the recently leaked Supreme Court opinion to abolish Roe vs. Wade turned violent when several pro-Life activists were shouted down and accosted verbally and physically by pro-Abortion, or pro-Choice activists.

The small group of pro-Life activists led by Broward County Activist Chris Nelson held up signs that read “Black Babies Lives Matter” and “Children are a blessing,” stood at the back of the rally relatively quiet, until Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried began to speak.

Once Commissioner Fried began to speak, support attendees in support of the rally began to try to cover up Nelson’s signs and verbally badger the three protestors.

The protestors did defend themselves against the accusation hurled against them, and even used pro-Life talking points against their counterparts, but did not elevate their presence any more than that.

While the protestors and counter-protestors were relatively peaceful and respectful, there were several antagonists that reverted to using profanity and using physical force to intimidate.

Organizers lost control of the rally, and Democratic State Senator Jason Pizzo felt compelled to come down off of the steps where the event was taking place to help restore peace and sanity.

Other organizers and supporters joined Sen. Pizzo in trying to steer their supporters away from the altercation before it got out of control.

There was nothing Pizzo and others could do, as one of the protestors was physically assaulted about 10- feet away from they were standing.

The video speaks for itself. One activist admitted that she didn’t believe in peace but rather supported violence against the Pro-Life protestors like Nelson. (:57)

“You privileged ass white man,” said one Black activist.

The rally was similar to the event held just a couple of hours earlier in Miami, but more people were in attendance at the Broward event, including elected officials.

Reps. Sheila Cherifilus-McCormick and Debbie Wasserman Schultz, State Senators Bobby Dubose, Jason Pizzo, and Lauren Book, State Reps. Robin Bartleman, Marie Paule Woodson, and Daryl Campbell were all in attendance.
