Matt Gaetz: Election Fraud Evidence 'Cannot be Ignored'

Share

Dinesh D’Souza released another political film this weekend too, no surprise, divided reviews. In 2016, he showcased “Hillary’s America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party” and in 2018, he released “Death of a Nation” which attempted to demonstrate the parallels between the Trump and Lincoln presidencies. With the international release of “2,000 Mules,” the topic of alleged election fraud has resurfaced. Conservatives all around the country such as Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) has suggested that the evidence “cannot be ignored.” The controversial Congressman said in a tweet

“The evidence is deeply compelling. Videos. Geo Track. Admissions. This cannot be ignored," tweeted Gaetz.

However, Gaetz is not agnostic about whether  President Joe Biden (D) won the 2020 election fair and square.

“#2000Mules were part of the infrastructure that stole the 2020 election from Trump. @DineshDSouza has the receipts in his gripping film," stated Gaetz in May 2021.

Almost immediately, however, those on the Left dismissed the film and likened it to movements such as “Qanon” and called it conspiratorial.

In an article by Newsweek, the article quoted Kenneth Mayer (who spoke to Politifact), a political science professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in saying “It is conspiracist thinking,” and that “They are interpreting data that confirms their pre-existing conclusions. It’s a zombie claim; no matter how many times you kill it, it keeps coming back.”

Perhaps the world will never know for sure what exactly happened during the 2020 election. But it appears that no matter what, people will believe what they want to believe (based on party lines, of course).
