Embattled Vice President Mike Pence (R) released a new advertisement this week, urging support for “the Freedom Agenda.” The advertisement calls on voters to “return to the pro-freedom policies of Presidents Reagan and Trump” ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

President Donald Trump (R) has already signaled that he will be involved in the upcoming midterm election. However, Vice President Pence has remained relatively quiet after the fallout from the 2020 election. While the relationship between the former president and the vice president appears to have been strained, the newly-released advertisement invokes his time in office, arguing that “We the People have had enough of Joe Biden’s destructive policies.”

In an email, the advertisement called on support, and the vice president affirmed that he “called on dozens of other conservative leaders to work… to put together a plan to fight Biden’s failures: To save America, we MUST return to the pro-freedom policies of Reagan and Trump.”

Recalling his time in office, Pence said that the country had “the lowest unemployment, the highest household incomes, the most energy production, the most pro-American trade deals, the most secure border, and the strongest military in the history of the world.”

The advertisement comes at a time when the Biden administration is facing heavy scrutiny over a number of issues including rising inflation, rising gas prices and tension with Russia and China.

“America’s revival begins only when we reestablish our rights to live, work, and worship,” Pence said, adding that “we must restore our liberties to renew our culture, our prosperity, and our leadership.”

Though no lawmaker has confirmed a presidential run, Republicans like Nikki Haley, Trump, and Ron DeSantis are speculated to launch a run.

Pence has not hinted that he will run for office, but if he does, there is the possibility he might face his former runningmate on his way to the White House.
