Uhlfelder Calls AG Moody DeSantis' 'Personal attorney'

Statewide races in Florida are only months away.  Now, Attorney General candidate, Daniel Uhlfelder (D-FL), is taking aim at Attorney General Ashley Moody (R-FL), calling her Gov. Ron DeSantis's  "personal attorney."

In his latest campaign ad, Uhlfelder took aim at not just AG Moody, but also managed to land a jab on Governor DeSantis (R-FL) as well.

"I might not be a politician, but I'm one tough lawyer.  And that's why I'm running for Attorney General of Florida.  Floridians deserve an attorney general who actually wants to do the job of an attorney general, not be the governor's personal attorney," said Uhlfelder.

Uhlfelder went on, "Someone who will advocate for voting rights, consumer rights, human rights.  Instead of someone who is there to push a harmful political agenda just to advance her own career."

Uhlfelder has characterized his campaign as a push back against the Republican Party of Florida at large, and not just Attorney General Moody.

Previously, Uhlfelder made headlines after dressing up as the Grim Reaper around Florida beaches during the COVID-19 Pandemic, sending the message that he disagreed with the Florida state government's anti-lockdown policies.  He graduated from Stanford University and attained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida.

Uhlfelder has a steep climb ahead of him. Moody is widely respected and popular among Floridians. It will be interesting to see if Florida Democrats rally behind Uhlefelder.
