With election season just over the horizon, the Republican Party of Florida is set to roll out a list of endorsements for major state-wide candidates who are seeking re-election, including Governor DeSantis (R-FL) who was unanimously backed by the FL GOP.
In a Tweet over the weekend, Chair of Chairs Evan Power of the Florida GOP announced that he had, "made a motion for the Republican Party of Florida to endorse [Governor Ron DeSantis, Senator Marco Rubio, AG Ashley Moody, and CFO Jimmy Patronis in their re-elections."
Today I made a motion for the Republican Party of Florida to endorse @GovRonDeSantis, Senator @marcorubio, @AGAshleyMoody, and CFO @JimmyPatronis in their re-elections. Happy to report it passed unanimously! pic.twitter.com/QQFvMhlQFq

What made the announcement so impactful was that Power's motion, "passed unanimously!"
Although it is no surprise Ron DeSantis would garner the support of his own party, the Florida GOP's solidarity behind the governor creates a deep contrast with the Democrat gubernatorial field.
Commissioner of Agriculture Nikki Fried (D-FL), who is running in hopes to dethrone DeSantis, has trashed the governor just as much as she has her primary opponent and frontrunner, US Rep. Charlie Crist (D-FL).
Congressman Crist suffered a detrimental blow from the Fried campaign when they unearthed his stance on offshore drilling, back when Crist was a Republican in 2008. Governor Crist at the time was hopeful for the VP nomination and began to support the practice of offshore drilling just when the late presidential nominee John McCain made his stance clear in support of the practice.
However, as ugly as the Democrat primary may get, DeSantis enjoys significant leads in all the major head-to-head polls that have been conducted around Florida.
