Marco Rubio
Many U.S. politicians have contributed their two cents to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Now, US Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) is anticipating a "puppet Russian installed government" in Ukraine.
President Vladimir Putin has been rather ambiguous with his intentions for Ukraine, referring to the government of Ukraine as illegitimate at times. It has been strongly suggested by many Democratic and Republican lawmakers that President Putin is simply attempting to resurrect the former Soviet Union.
Florida Senator Rubio (R), who sits on the Senate Committee on Intelligence, has a fairly realistic idea of what Putin's intentions of invading are, asserting that Putin wants to install a "puppet" government in place of the current governing entity.
Rubio tweeted that the Biden Administration should, "preemptively announce that anyone who joins a puppet Russian installed govt in Ukraine be automatically sanctioned, receive a visa ban & will be the subject of an Interpol Red Notice."
However, the message sounded as if this puppet government had already been installed.
Currently, Russian troops have moved in on the capitol city, Kyiv, after occupying critical areas of the nation, such as Chernobyl. But rumors of nuclear weapons usage have made many speculate that the invasion of Ukraine will result in the total destruction of the country.
Senator Rubio has kept his online following more than updated on his thoughts in regard to the conflict in Eastern-Europe, but still roots for a, "negotiated diplomatic end to the carnage in Ukraine," despite the stakes being higher than ever.
