DeSantis: “Fauci-ism [is] in Retreat”

Share

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) is once again directing criticism at his political rivals, commenting on COVID-19 response efforts and the media. Arguing that “Fauci-ism” is now “in retreat,” Governor DeSantis continues his rivalry with both the Biden Administration and Dr. Anthony Fauci.

DeSantis admitted in his message to supporters, that “Democrats across the country are finally realizing what we knew in Florida almost two years ago – mask mandates and lockdowns don’t work.”

The governor has gone to lengths to oppose any form of mandates and lockdowns in the Sunshine State, which included exchanging words with both President Joe Biden (D) and Dr. Fauci.

He expressed that “the corrupt media incessantly smeared me for not imposing oppressive mandates” in the state, but now he assesses that “Democrats are falling over themselves to follow my lead now, and they’re trying to rewrite history as though they didn’t just spend the past two years acting as power-hungry authoritarians.”

Echoing what a number of Republicans have expressed, DeSantis expressed that “Democrats failed the American people,” and he believes that the political changes the country is experiencing is an example that “the medical science didn’t change, the political science did.”

“Every child deserves to grow up with a sense of normalcy rather than living in a biomedical Faucian dystopia as a political pawn for Democrats, yet, even as some blue state lockdown politicians have finally surrendered, Joe Biden still clings to forced masking of children as young as two years old,” said the Florida Governor, warning that “COVID was merely the most public exposure of Democrats’ policy failures.”

As he has previously voiced, DeSantis assured supporters that he “will continue leading in Florida, but make no mistake: if they survive the 2022 elections, lockdown Democrats will absolutely revert to form and re-impose mandates and restrictions.”
