Rubio Slams Biden and Demings in Critical Review

Share

Similar to Florida Rep. Michael Waltz’ (R) recent assessment of President Joe Biden’s (D) first year in office, Florida Senator Marco Rubio (R) is offering his own critique. While Rubio contends that the President’s first year in office has been an unsuccessful effort, Rubio also argues that the criticism extends to his challenger, Florida Rep. Val Demings (D).

Senator Rubio said that the President “ran on unifying the country,” which he expressed did not happen because “in his first year in office he pushed the far left agenda championed by radical Democrats like Val Demings, Nancy Pelosi, and Chuck Schumer.”

Instead, what the country got in the past year under President Biden is a number of pressing concerns.

Rubio lists that the country faces “the highest inflation in almost 40 years, hurting Americans at the grocery store and the gas pump; a supply chain crisis; the botched management of COVID-19; a disastrous exit from Afghanistan; a record 1.8 million illegal immigrants coming across the southern border; and a weak response to the historic protests in Cuba.”

Senator Rubio also shared that Val Demings has contributed to the concerns.

In a statement provided by Elizabeth Gregory, the communications director for Marco Rubio for Senate, Demings is blamed because she “voted for Joe Biden’s disastrous, jerk to the left agenda 100% of the time over the past year, and we can be sure she’ll never tire of doing so.”

Gregory added that “as we saw with last night’s bipartisan vote to save the filibuster, every single seat matters in preserving the fundamentals of our democracy.”

She concludes by warning that if Demings is elected to the Senate, it “would enable Democrats’ power grab.”

The Rubio campaign has been critical of Demings’ response to the Cuban protests that erupted last year. She has also received criticism from some media outlets.
