nikki fried DeSantis
American politics can get right down dirty, and Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried managed to throw herself and her gubernatorial campaign right into the gutter by referring to Gov. Ron DeSantis as a penis, saying that he is a 'dic."
Commissioner Fried tweeted that Gov. DeSantis is "doing everything he can to become a dictator. He's already half of that word."
Fried is calling DeSantis a "dic" but she will surely try to spin her tweet somehow. Did she call DeSantis a "tator?"
Her message was part of her broader effort to draw attention to her campaign was received loud and clear.
Fried, who is running in a contested Democratic gubernatorial primary against Senator Annette Taddeo and Rep. Charlie Crist, recently condemned the DeSantis administration's ousting of Black Lives Matter and long-time activist Ben Frazier prior to scheduled DeSantis press conference in Jacksonville, Florida.
Frazier, who has a long list of run-ins with law enforcement including serving an 18-month stint in prison for Grand Theft," was praised by Fried and other Black leaders around the state, including State Senator Shevrin Jones (D) and Rep. Angie Nixon (D).
DeSantis's press secretary Christina Pushaw responded to Fried's "mean tweet," telling The Floridian that, "I remember when democrats used to get triggered by “mean tweets"...Nikki Fried is just desperate for attention and will say anything, no matter how ridiculous or juvenile, to get it."
It appears that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D) is not the only Democrat with Republican sex on her mind.
