“Corporate media looks down on regular, working-class Americans because we dare to think for ourselves and make decisions that are best for ourselves and our family.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) is once again taking issue with the Mainstream Media, accusing it of thinking voters are “stupid.” Much like President Donald Trump (R), DeSantis has been vocal regarding what he believes is a double standard in the media.

Governor DeSantis has been critical of Dr. Anthony Fauci and President Joe Biden (D) in reference to the COVID pandemic.

During coverage of the Governor’s recent campaign advertisement that calls for “Freedom Over Fauci,” MSNBC host Joe Scarborough commented on Dr. Fauci being the subject of scrutiny in the governor’s advertisement.

In his assessment, Scarborough said, “I guess stupid people will like the ad… it just – again, the height of stupidity.”

In response, DeSantis argued that Scarborough “said the quiet part loud,” telling voters that Scarborough “thinks you’re ‘stupid’ for supporting America’s Governor and for questioning the teachings of their dear leader: Dr. Anthony Fauci.”

“These Beltway liberals impersonating journalists are toxic to our society,” DeSantis expressed over the weekend in a message to supporters, adding that “they look down on people like us, simply because we refuse to follow the edicts of the Biden-Harris-Fauci administration.”

DeSantis has dubbed the Sunshine State the “Free State of Florida,” calling it the model the President should follow in addressing the COVID pandemic. This has only increased tension between the two, which has further generated media coverage over speculation that DeSantis will be launching a 2024 presidential run. While the Florida Governor has not confirmed such decision, “America’s Governor” will continue to fuel speculation from political pundits.

“Corporate media looks down on regular, working-class Americans because we dare to think for ourselves and make decisions that are best for ourselves and our family,” said the Governor, once again vowing to reject “the opinions of elitist liberals in media and government.”

Instead, the DeSantis Administration will focus on “following the data and protecting our freedom.”
