Anthony Sabatini/ The Floridian
The 2022 midterm election has very high stakes, in particular Florida's 7th Congressional District, where incumbent US Rep. Stephanie Murphy (D-FL) has announced that she will not seek re-election in 2022. Now, State Rep. Anthony Sabatini (R-32) is making one of his biggest campaign promises yet, in vowing to "prosecute and jail Dr. Fauci."
In a newly released video on Twitter, Rep. Sabatini appears to be trying to close in on his annual goal of $700,000 in donations before the financial year closes in two days. However, with incumbent Murphy out of the picture, the dynamic of the race has drastically changed.
"Our Democrat opponent, Stephanie Murphy, just dropped out last week based on the momentum that we have." However, Sabatini first has to face combat veteran Cory Mills (R-FL), Navy Seal Brady Duke, and Erika Benfield in the Republican primary race.
"Once we win we're going to retire Nancy Pelosi, we're going to impeach Joe Biden, we're going to build a wall, and we're going to prosecute and jail Dr. Fauci," said Sabatini.
Sabatini has managed to rack up a long and prestigious list of endorsements in 2021 alone, including but not limited to Roger Stone, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ), and Senator Rand Paul (R-KY).
Mills, who recently traveled to Afghanistan and rescued an American family during the botched Biden evacuation, has also garnered the endorsements of key members of the U.S. Congress, including House Freedom Caucus founder Rep. Jim Jordan, and fellow combat veterans Reps. Greg Steube, Brian Mast, Troy Nehls, and Ronny Jackson.
The Floridian recently reported Sabatini's voting records which indicate his past Democrat voting history. But, the state representative still argues that he voted for the Republican Party nominees in the 2008 and 2012 elections while registered as a Democrat.
