Cammack Says Biden Administration is 'Soft on Crime'

Share

Recent crime numbers have shown concerning data regarding the huge increase in criminal activity across America over the past few years.  Today, US Rep. Kat Cammack (R-FL) assigned blame to the Biden Administration for being, "soft on crime."

During an appearance on the Fox News Channel's  "Faulkner Focus," Representative Cammack blasted President Biden (D) over critical issues, especially rising crime rates.

"When you have leaders like the Biden Administration, like Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas, people like that, AG Merrick Garland, sending out memos that they need to be soft on crime, and lets not mix words here, they are literally pushing down directives to be soft on crime, release criminals, and of course that right there is the message that gets sent to our first responders."

Rep. Cammack argues that these directives being given to first responders essentially, "saying it doesn't matter that you were trained and equipped to do a job.  We don't want you to do that job, because if you do we are going to punish you for it."

The representative used her own constituency of Gainesville, Florida as an example of a "Democrat run city," where problems for first responders like this exist

With the 2022 midterm elections looking to be very tense, Cammack predicts that crime will be a major factor in the election and furthered her agenda of advocating for first responders and their families.

"I will make sure that in the 118th Congress, all of our first responders, law enforcement officers and their families know that they have someone in Washington who's got their back," added Cammack.

Cammack also feels that local figures should be held accountable too, such as District Attorneys and prosecutors for "this ridiculous so-called bail reform," and pledged to get tough on crime and, "enforce the laws by the books."
