Cammack Defends Police, But Her First Responder Husband Gets Punished For It

Since President Joe Biden took office earlier this year, Progressive Democrats have been emboldened and have called for more drastic changes to the way law enforcement polices Americans.  US Rep. Kat Cammack (R-FL), whose husband is SWAT Medic, was recently punished by his police department after Rep. Cammack continued her crusade against the Defund The Police movement on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Rep. Cammack, who has been a staunch defender of first responders across the country, wore her husband's SWAT vest on March of 2021 to reportedly, "fight against the defunding of the police."

Cammack's use of the vest on the House floor drove her point home, but for her husband, it caused him to be reprimanded because of her actions.

Appearing on the Fox News Channel on Tuesday,  Cammack divulged the derogatory mark her husband received as a result of her taking his vet to Washington.

"Back in March when I took my husband's SWAT vest up here to the Capitol to fight against the defunding of the police, when I got home, my husband got written up for that.  That is what we are up against,"

Cammack then clarified that before the incident her husband had a perfect record and that his record was, "blemished by something that I did in defense of his department."

With the Biden Administration having made radical changes within the Department of Justice, Cammack blames the "directives" from AG Merrick Garland as being "to be soft on crime, release criminals, and of course that right there is the message that gets sent to our first responders."

The Cammack also thinks that local legal officials, such as district attorneys are not exactly innocent in the policy shift on policing.  Cammack has previously called to, "hold these ridiculous liberal DAs and prosecutors accountable."
