President Joe Biden (D) released a Christmas message over the weekend that was directed to Democrats, championing the accomplishments from the party while also noting that there’s still work to be done. With the Administration’s approval rating taking a hit, and with Democrats across the country fearing a “red wave” in the upcoming 2022 midterm election, the message stands as a moment to empower the party and the initiatives they have in mind to pass.

The message, delivered by President Biden and Dr. Jill Biden, circulated online through an email to supporters.

In the email, the President points out that “this team has helped Democrats accomplish so much this year,” which includes “flipping the Senate,” “passing the American Rescue Plan” along with “making a once-in-a-lifetime investment in our nation’s infrastructure.”

In the message, Dr. Jill Biden mentions that “in our travels this year, we have been inspired by so many Americans, just like you, who are a reminder that the things we hold sacred unite us and transcend distance, time, and even the constraints of a pandemic.”

Currently, the country faces the spread of the new Omicron COVID-19 variant, and over the weekend, the Sunshine State is reported to have added 31,758 new cases as per the CDC.

This comes after the state was reported to have the lowest cases in the country.

“Again and again, we see that our differences are precious and our similarities infinite,” added Dr. Biden.

President Biden thanked Democrats for the trust they have given him in being President, but he also look forward to what his Administration is looking to accomplish.

“As we take a moment to reflect on where we’ve been, how far we’ve come this year, Jill and I want you  to know, we know you’re with us every step of the way,” President Biden said.
