Ashley Moody Announces New 'Be a Florida Hero Initiative'

With the unprecedented uptick in crime across America, Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody (R-FL) has launched the, "Be a Florida Hero Initiative," to attract more law enforcement recruits.

Appearing on Fox News' Faulkner Focus, hosted by Harris Faulkner,  AG Moody announced the beginning of this new program to counter the rising, "smash and grab," retail thefts as well.  Progressive bail policies in California have also allowed for this criminal activity to occur.

Florida, along with the new crime initiative, has also established a database to track repeat theft and organized crime offenders to curb the concerning increasing crime statistics.

Moody explained that she started these programs because, "we've seen the rash of organized thefts across the nation, we've been working diligently to ask law enforcement 'how can we be helpful, how can we work with the businesses that are victims in order to provide the right information, so that you can put the pieces together and go after these folks?' And so I was proud to stand with law enforcement here in Florida."

The Attorney General also added that she, "has the support of our great Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL)," to announce the launching of the new database.

"We will continue to do that, continue to be ingenuitive in Florida because we will not let crime run Florida, Florida will run crime out of our state."

When questioned on working with private businesses and its effectiveness, Moody related it to working with, "the victim of a crime," adding that law enforcement is in place to protect victims.  Moody then blamed the recent crime surge on, "Liberal run cities where you have pro-crime prosecutors, pro-criminal policies that they implement."

AG Moody then argued that the Defund the Police movement is a result of these Liberal policies that have led to the crime surge that Democrats such as Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) refuse to acknowledge.
