Jewish-Americans Question ' Nikki Fraud' Over Hannukah Menorah Picture

As the Jewish community around the world, including Jewish-Americans in Florida, celebrated the first night of Chanuka or Hannukah this past Sunday night, so did Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried, who is running for governor against Gov. Ron DeSantis in the 2022 midterm elections.

Just as Commissioner Fried posted an image of a group of children standing in front of a fully-lit Menorah that read she was going to be "celebrating the Festival of Lights with latkas and spinning the dreidel," several observing Jews on Twitter called her out for posting the image.

Nachman Mostofsky tweeted that Fried was either clueless in lighting the menorah, "or she's passing a picture from last year as this year."

"This lady is such a fraud. These menorahs are setup for the 7th night of Chanukah. Either she's got zero clue how to light a menorah, or she's passing a picture from last year off as this year. Regardless, she's a phony," tweeted Mostofsky.

Fried took offense to Mostofky's remark and told him to "take your BS somewhere else" while confirming that the image was taken last year as Mostofsky suggested.

"Wow…didn’t realize it was a crime to use a picture from a previous year of my family. Take your BS somewhere else," stated Fried.

Another Jewish-American and Republican congressional candidate in Florida's 11th District , Laura Loomer, questioned  Fried's "practicing Jew" bona fides, coining the  term  "Nikki Fraud," and calling her a "Bolshevik running for Governor."

Loomer also question's the use of the image of maskless children and was quick to point out that those children in the image were not her kids but actually someone else's.

Note: Fried said that this image was taken last year, which was at the height of the pandemic when vaccines were not yet available.

"She accused Governor DeSantis of trying to “kill kids” when he eliminated public school mask mandates in FL. Here is a photo Nikki Fried posted tonight for Hanukkah. Kids are not socially distancing and not wearing masks, Despite her claims that kids are dropping dead all over FL from not wearing masks" stated Loomer on her Telegram account.

Loomer continued, stating that "She’s a disgusting liar. I also think it’s funny she is celebrating Hanukkah which is literally a holiday about armed Jews rising up against tyrants & rebelling against tyranny. She is imposing tyranny and oppression through her position as FL Agriculture commissioner and has illegally stripped over 28 Floridians of their concealed carry permits this year alone simply because they attended Trump’s rally on Jan 6."

State Senator Annette Taddeo (D), who is also Jewish, could not be reached for comment.
