Democrats Want Trump To Run in 2024

President Joe Biden (D) has made waves this week after confirming he will seek re-election in 2024, but what about former President Donald Trump (R)?  A concerning number of Democrats now want to see Trump run in 2024.

Amid sinking poll numbers, some south of 40%, and his recent 79th birthday putting Americans on edge, President Biden surprised many by confirming he will run for president again in 2024.

By November of 2024, the current President will be 82 years old.  His hypothetical challenger, however, would be a 78-year-old Donald Trump.

Top Democratic donor, Barry Goodman, stated that he and his colleagues are hoping that Trump decides to run, even if Joe Biden is not the nominee:

"I think no matter who runs, a Democrat beats him," Goodman told the outlet. "At the end of the day, people are not going to put that despot in the office one more time."

Even Rick Wilson, the co-founder of the Lincoln Project, has the same hopes.  Recently, Fox News confirmed that the Lincoln project hopes to pin Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) against each other.

"We want Trump to kill his own babies," said Wilson. "We believe if we narrow the field and it’s only Trump in 2024, it’s an easy choice for Americans to say ‘no.'"

Democrats and Left-wing activists groups at large seem to be so confident in the American people, that their winning strategy has become a Trump candidacy.  However, with a steep amount of Republicans also gunning for the former president to return, this may not be the wisest strategy for Democrats.

Right now, the Trump "I told you so" narrative against Biden is looming large over all Americans.
