Although Gov. DeSantis (R-FL) called a special session to resolve vaccine-related issues, the Republican-controlled legislature is not doing enough for State Rep. Anthony Sabatini (R-32), who is calling the latest anti-mandate legislation a "FAKE bill!"
Sabatini, who has a history of calling out his own party as what he calls, "RINOs," is now saying the latest bill on vaccine mandates in Florida, "does NOT include a BAN on private sector employee vaccine mandates! Call EVERY Legislator & demand a FULL BAN on all private sector employee mandates!"
In a Tweet today, Sabatini fired off on the Florida House and furthered his rhetoric against Speaker Chris Sprowls (R) who he previously called a, "Beta male.":
While Sabatini calls out his own for not doing enough, his criticism of the GOP-controlled House could very likely be coupled with criticisms from lawmakers from the Left side of the aisle, such as State Rep. Carlos G Smith (D-49).
This week, Rep. Smith claimed that DeSantis, "doesn't care about vaccine mandates," and Sabatini might agree, for different reasons of course.
This feud has given the state of Florida, and frankly the country, a good example of the Republican party's current dilemma. The GOP has until 2024 to decide if they are still the party of Trump, or revert back to the platform they once held for the previous four decades.
