Cory Mills Scores Rare Jim Jordan Endorsement

Share

Combat Veteran Cory Mills (R) has scored himself a very, very rare endorsement from conservative stalwart and Freedom Caucus founder Rep. Jim Jordan.

In the Republican primary race to defeat Democratic Rep. Stephanie Murphy, Mills has landed arguably one of the most sought after and hard to get Republican primary election endorsements by landing Rep. Jordan’s nod of approval.

In a campaign statement, Jordan, who is a close confidante of former President Donald Trump,  points to Mills’ past combat experience and to the recent action he took to rescue four American citizens in Afghanistan.

“Cory Mills has been a leader on the battlefield, and a successful business owner. He has rescued Americans in Afghanistan, and he will take on the radical left in Congress. We need Cory Mills in Washington now more than ever to stand for freedom," stated Rep. Jordan.

During the rescue mission Jordan refers to, Mills told The Floridian upon arriving stateside that he was in contact with a family at the Abbey gate but lost contact with them when the suicide bomb was detonated.

Mills said that after the blast, they never heard back from the woman, leading to believe that she and her family were “parished” in the attack.

“I can tell you that she was not the only American out at that gate. This idea that there were only 160 Afghans that died and thirteen American service members that died. No, there were Americans on the other side of that gate that died in that explosion,” said Mills. They are covering it up.”

In response to Jordan’s endorsement, Mills praised the conservative congressman’s “unwavering support for President Donald Trump” and mentioned the “Democratic Socialist agenda” that Republicans believe Democrats are using to upend the “American way of life.”

“I am grateful to have received the support of Congressman Jim Jordan, a devout Conservative who has shown unwavering support for President  Trump and understands the threats and challenges our great nation faces from Democratic Socialist agenda that is focused on destroying our American way of life," said Mills.

Jordan’s endorsement is another in a string of endorsements that include fellow veterans Reps. Brian Mast, Greg Steube, Ronny Jackson, and Neal Dunn.
