After receiving the heartbreaking news that she was diagnosed with breast cancer, First Lady Casey DeSantis made a public appearance with her husband Gov. Ron DeSantis and delivered an impromptu and uplifting message to all Americans who have been diagnosed with the disease.

After thanking a crowd of Republicans in Central Florida for all well-wishes she received after the news of her diagnosis first broke before joking about how she was trying to fight back the tears because she didn’t want her mascara to run.

“I think there's a lot that we can be upset about, that we can be sad about, the direction of our country, the future of our nation, our families, our communities, our safety, our children, their education, and their futures, our health and our well-being, but I'll tell you one thing is for sure, I'm sure as hell not given up.”

DeSantis added, “When you know in your heart what is right, never ever ever give up the fight, ever,” before stealing one of her Gov. DeSantis lines, stating, “I have only begun to fight.”
