Majority of Americans Oppose Transgenders Using Women's Restrooms

In a Rasmussen Poll conducted this week, the polling firm found that the vast majority of Americans (60%) oppose this new effort to allow transgender Americans to use the bathroom they identify with.  One would think with time comes progress, but these numbers are actually up from 49% in 2017, jumping 11% in just 4 years.

This new poll is not a welcoming sign for activists and lawmakers who are out supporting 'LGBTQ rights across the nation.

But a 10-year frame, we've seen states pass their own regulations and guidelines, and even private businesses like Target jump through hoops to ensure that transgendered Americans are protected.

Although this has never been an issue for the centuries that this country existed until now, Florida officials seem to be quite adamant about the topic.  With the transgender sports ban now in effect, President Biden (D) himself has threatened to "confront" statewide transgender legislation such as HB 1475.

The Floridian previously spoke with the co-author of the bill, State Rep. Spencer Roach (R-79) who believes, "The federal government has no authority under the Constitution to impose radical gender-theory policies onto our state that has been so soundly rejected by the majority of Floridians."

Roach's very own state house district has been involved in the transgendered debate, as the school board there Roach claims is 50% filled with "far-left woke Democrats." Roach said this after a controversial new transgender school bathroom policy.

“These kids don’t belong to the government, or Lee County Schools, they belong to the parents,” insisting that school boards are  “Supposed to represent the parents and families”, not the teachers and unions, said Roach.

Democrat State Reps. Carlos Guillermo Smith and Anna Eskamani, as well as State Senator Shevrin Jones, have been the loudest voices of opposition to the aforementioned ban on Transgendered sports ban bill Gov. Ron DeSantis signed into law.

“Heartless. It adds insult to injury that it comes during #Pride2021 , not even 24 hours after he signed a bill to expel trans kids from sports teams & humiliate them. What message is the governor trying to send to LGBTQ Floridians with these actions,” tweeted Rep. Smith.
