Washington, D.C.— Members of the Republican Study Committee (RSC) held a press conference on Capitol Hill to update reporters about the ongoing border crisis, and the impact it's having in other states like Florida.

The event was spearheaded by Florida Rep. Kat Cammack (R), who spoke about the horror stories coming out of states like Florida as a result of the Biden administration's disbursement of illegal immigrants, and praised Gov. Ron DeSantis’s recent lawsuit filed against the Biden administration over the illegal immigration crisis.

Rep. Cammack said that she had heard of “Children being aged out of the foster system to accommodate for illegals that are being brought in,” and that there has been an increase in crime occurring throughout the state as a result of the illegals immigrants being moved into Florida

“I am extraordinarily proud of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who just yesterday, filed a lawsuit against the Biden Administration demanding that they account for all of the illegals that have been brought to our state at taxpayer expense, but also will prohibit future transfers into the state of Florida,” said Cammack.

Cammack added that the illegal immigration crisis was “impacting every single town in America” and that the “historic levels” of drugs flooding cities was a “direct correlation to a lack of enforcement” by the federal government.

National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd was asked to give an up-to-date assessment of the border crisis, where he said every time they moved “resources” in to plug a smuggling point along the border, it created more “artificial gaps along the border,” adding that the criminal drug cartels have adapted and pivoted their concentrated efforts to those open points along the border.

Texas Rep. Roger Williams said that "every state is a border state."
