Anthony Sabatini: Speaker Sprowls Has 'Sabatini Derangement Syndrome'

Share

The most intense back-and-forth political fighting in the Florida Capitol isn't between Republicans and Democrats, or even Gov. Ron DeSantis and Commissioner Nikki Fried, but between House Speaker Chris Sprowls (R-FL) and Rep. Anthony Sabatini (R-32), who claims Speaker Sprowls has, "Sabatini Derangement Syndrome."

Sabatini recently attacked Sprowls on Twitter, accusing him of being a "RINO" and "beta male."  For Sabatini, this is not just a personal matter of having his office moved to the basement, but a political one as these, "Liberal Republicans who hate Republican voters" try to take over the Florida GOP.

The Floridian sat down with Sabatini to further inquire about his ongoing feud with the "GOP establishment," namely Speaker Sprowls.

Shockingly, Sabatini told The Floridian that Sprowls and others, "informed staff to direct an enormous amount of time, labor and tax payer funds to move my office, just to launch a symbolic attack against conservatives."  Adding, "They're not interested in fighting Democrats, they spend more time attacking me and killing my bills and America First policies."

Rep. Sabatini then referenced the tax hike passed by Sprowls last year which was "The biggest Florida tax hike ever" according to the state representative.

Sabatini, who is running for the U.S. Congressional seat in Florida District 7,  credits figures like Sprowls and State Rep. Chris Latvala (R-67) or who Sabatini refers to as, "fat Mitt Romney" for making his campaign stronger.

Sabatini's campaign has reported staggering amounts of donations and is confident that he will prevail against fellow Republican Cory Mills in the primary election.  With Senator Rand Paul (R-KY), US Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), and US Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) backing Sabatini for Congress, it may not be easy to take down the Trump Republican legislator.
