Fried Watching 'Every Move' and 'Every Breath' DeSantis Takes

Remember the classic song "Every Breath You Take" by The Police? Well, for those of you who don't know, the meaning of the song has nothing to do with admiration of one partner to another, rather of a possessive lover who is watching "every move you make." This song is very fitting of the political relationship between Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Agricultural Commissioner Nikki Fried, where Commissioner Fried is all over (politically) Gov. DeSantis's "every move" and "every breath" he takes.

No matter what you do or say, Gov. DeSantis, Commissioner  Fried will "be watching you."

Looking at her social media feeds, Fried talks more about DeSantis and what he is saying and doing than anything else.

This past weekend, DeSantis traveled to  New Jersey for a fundraiser put together by a top Trump donor, and Fried was watching.

"Ted Cruz bailed on his state to vacation in Cancun. DeSantis went to Jersey. So, yes, DeSantis is the worst," tweeted Fried because DeSantis left the state during the pandemic, even though she herself has traveled outside of Florida during the COVID-19 pandemic

Last April, when the pandemic was in full swing, Fried decided to ignore the standing stay-at-home order and traveled to Atlanta over the Easter weekend. Fried's Spokesman Franco Ripple said that the commissioner went to  Atlanta to “pick up her stepkids from their mom.”

Franco explained that this is “something millions of families are going through with parental time-sharing during this pandemic (not to mention the religious holiday weekend.”

Fried, as a good politician should do, took the time out of her travel schedule to appear on MSNBC, where she took the liberty of ridiculing the Governor over his COVID response.

Days before her trip to Georgia, Fried penned this Stay-At-Home OP-ED Fried wrote demanding that DeSantis put in place the order for the entire state of Florida.
