Demings Makes Complete Political Transformation in her bid for Senate

Starting with a new hairstyle, U.S. Rep. Val Demings (D) has made an unmistakable 180-degree political transformation the moment she announced her run for Senate against incumbent Senator Marco Rubio (R).

Rep. Demings, the former chief prosecutor in the impeachment trial of President Donald Trump, appears to have toned down her anti-Trump, anti-Republican, and pro-Progressive hard edge since announcing her senatorial bid.

Demings' about-face can be seen in every aspect of her public profile, particularly in her social media postings.

In a recent tweet, Demings continued her push to get Floridians vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus by stating that the only way lives will be saved and to "keep schools + businesses open" is to get vaccinated.

"We know that the only way to save lives, keep schools + businesses open, and put COVID behind us is to get more Floridians vaccinated. It's time to come together to encourage our friends & family to get the vaccine so all of FL’s children can learn & play in safety," Demings stated.

In another tweet, Demings takes a veiled swipe at Gov. Ron DeSantis over his anti-mask mandate, stating: "I’m deeply concerned that this rise in FL cases has turned into yet another pointless political battle — in which our kids will pay the price. We must not allow the safety and well-being of our children to be politicized."

The old firebrand Demings would have gone after Gov. DeSantis by name and probably called for mask mandates,  but this is a new Val Demings who needs to try to appeal to all Floridians and is smart enough to know that running as a far-left candidate in 2022 after Progressive Socialism was summarily defeated in 2020, is a suicide mission.

To her credit, Demings hasn't called for mask mandates or shutdown as some Florida Democrats are calling for, which is consistent with her past opposition to shutdowns. In July 2020, Demings was the only member of Florida's Democratic Caucus not to sign a letter calling for Gov. Ron DeSantis to close the state.

Demings' movements are just as stealthy as her rhetoric. The former Orlando Chief of Police isn't making many public appearances, and those appearances she does make are strategic and in front of friendly settings.

But even as gives herself a political facelift, Demings still has to defend her voting record.
