Washington—Moments after addressing the media at a ‘Climate Change Now’ press conference at the U.S. Capitol, Speaker Nancy Pelosi took issue with a reporter trying to ask her to respond to House Minority Leader Mark McCarthy and Republican leadership.
Just as the reporter began to ask his question, Speaker Nancy Pelosi shut him down, stating, “Didn’t you get the word? I don’t respond to anything of what they say. So let’s not waste your time or mine.”
Speaker Pelosi then drove off with her Capitol Police security detail.
The question the speaker evaded may have had something to do with her refusal to add two Republican legislators that Leader McCarthy appointed to sit on her January 6 Select Committee on the Capitol Riot.
