Black Lives Matter Blames US, not Communist Cuba for Oppressing the Cuban People

The controversial and militant Black Lives Matter organization has put out arguably the most offensive and misguided statements in recent history in regard to the plight of the Cuban people and their struggles against the oppression they have endured from the Communist Castro regime. In other words, it's a stupid statement.

Instead of pointed out and blaming the decades-long human rights atrocities, unjust incarcerations, and murders committed by the regime in Cuba, Black Lives Matter solely blames the U.S. for what has happened, is happening in Cuba.

When the protests broke out in Cuba last weekend, both Republicans and Democrats (except for Democrat Socialists like Reps. Ilhan Omar and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez) came together to denounce the Cuban government and support the spontaneous protests by Cubans on the island.

“Black Lives Matter condemns the U.S. federal government’s inhuman treatment of Cubans.”-official BLM statement.

Yes, you read that correctly. It’s the U.S. that is oppressing Cubans, not the Communist regime that has ruled with an iron fist for six decades.

I know. I know, it's an ignorant statement.

But wait, it gets worse. Black Lives Matter defends Communist Cuba and blames the U.S. embargo for all the ills that have plagued the Cuban people.

The group even accuses the U.S. of trying to ‘destabilize’ the Cuban government and have been “undermining Cuban’s right to choose their own government.”

LOL!!!

When have the Cuban people been allowed to “choose their own Government?” Black Lives Matter may have not received the memo that Fidel Castro and his brother Raul ran the government for over 50 years.

Florida Democrats are embarrassed and offended by the Black Activist group’s statement.

Everyone should be offended, and Democrats like President Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and other elected officials, who exalted BLM in 2020, should denounce the group.

What Black Lives Matter fails to see is that what has happened in Cuba over the last six decades, is opposed by everyone. The condemnation of the regime's oppression of its own people transcends political party lines.
