Waltz Takes a Bold Stand for Israel

Share

With the Israeli-Palestinian conflict reaching crisis proportions, many American politicians have given their takes on the situation, most siding with Israel.  While loud HousePprogressives have tried to make excuses for Hamas, Rep. Michael Waltz (R-FL) took a bold stand for Israel last week, putting an Israeli and American flag outside his Congressional office.

Waltz has been extremely critical of the Biden Administration's foreign policy, fearing that pulling troops out of Afghanistan will make the U.S. miss out on a "strategic foothold" in the region up against China and Russia.

Waltz then commented on recent Democrat remarks on Israel last week, claiming "The U.S. has stood with Israel for decades and we won't let fringe Progressives try to divide our alliance."

Rep. Waltz made the statement after the controversial comments of Congressional squad member, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) calling Israel an "apartheid regime", and accused Israel of practicing ethnic cleansing.

Her accusations attracted mostly bipartisan criticism from House members, including Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-FL)who voiced she was "extremely concerned by those who demonize Israel’s conduct while ignoring their right to self-defense and obligation to protect all citizens."

Rep. Waltz added to the backlash by hanging a sign that read, "Stand With Israel" the representative further commented that Israel, our most "critical ally," Is being attacked by "Iranian backed terrorists.  Launching rockets at Israeli civilians, while hiding behind their own civilians," adding "we're not going to let a couple of loud progressive left voices stand between us and our Israeli allies."

The representative took to Twitter to detail the attacks that now is a "pivotal time for US-Israeli relations" and further assigned the blame to Hamas terrorists for the carnage in the region:

Waltz's comments only further the ultimatum given to progressives in the House, either you stand with Israel, or you stand with the terrorists.
