Scott: ‘Rubio’s Going to win’

Share

Shortly after it was announced that Florida Rep. Val Demings (D) would be launching her bid for Florida Senator Marco Rubio’s (R) seat, the GOP and Rubio immediately responded by disregarding her candidacy. Rubio called her “a radical liberal ally of Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi,” and the Republican Party of Florida commented that Demings is just “another rubber stamp for Nancy Pelosi and her socialist agenda.” With the stage being set regarding the 2022 political landscape in Florida, Florida Senator Rick Scott (R) is chiming into the Senatorial run, assuring that “Rubio’s going to win.”

In the 2020 presidential election, the state of Florida experienced a number of congressional losses that were considered upsets. This resulted in House seats switching from blue to red.

During an interview on Fox News Radio’s Brian Kilmeade Show, Senator Scott, the former Governor of Florida and the current Chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, shared his thoughts as to why he believes that Rubio will not be losing his reelection bid.

“First off, Marco’s done a really good job,” Scott said, adding that Rubio’s “been up here 10 years” and “he’s done a really good job.” Scott said that Rubio “represents the state” and “he really cares about the issues.”

“I don’t think anybody in Florida could run and beat him right now,” Scott expressed, sharing that 2022 is “going to be a bloodbath for Democrats” when it comes to their policies.

Rubio has commented that Florida “is a top target for deep-pocketed National Democrats” that want to implement “their radical agenda,” and Senator Scott warned that Florida is trying to ward socialism away.

“Val Demings knows the House Democrats’ socialist agenda will doom their majority and is calling it quits,” commented Camille Gallo, the NRCC Spokeswoman, in a statement provided well before any mention of Demings’ 2022 political aspirations were announced.
