Democrats and Republicans Call for an end to Widespread Antisemitic Violence

Republicans and Democrats are once again appalled over widespread antisemitic violence and attacks waged against the Jewish community in America, this time as a result of the Middle East conflict between Israel and the terror group Hamas.

A ceasefire has been called by Israel and Hamas, but the anti-Jewish violence and anti-semitic rhetoric continue in the U.S., but this time it's not by White Supremacists or White Nationalists that Democrats insist are part of the “MAGA” movement or supporters of former President Donald Trump.

The antisemitic violence is coming from Palestinian Arabs and other Arabs supportive of the plight of the Palestinian people, including several members of the U.S. House of Representatives, but not from Republicans or people aligned with President Trump’s views and political agenda.

It’s not sure if those carrying out the hate crimes are Republican or Democrat, but one thing is for sure, Palestinian Americans and other Arab-Americans, for the most part,  are not supportive of either Trump or the Biden administration.

Florida Rep. Ted Deutch (D), who is arguably one of the most pro-Israel members of the Democratic-controlled House of Representatives, has called on world leaders to “speak out” against the wave of antisemitic attacks.

“ I am alarmed and deeply concerned by the growing number of antisemitic incidents in America and around the world. Leaders must speak out now about these attacks on the Jewish community,” tweeted Deutch.

Rep. Deutch’s New York Republican colleague, Rep. Lee Zeldin, said that antisemitism needed to be “confronted & eradicated.”

Rep. Zeldin specifically identified those committing the attacks as “Hamas sympathizers” and not Palestinians as a whole.

“Antisemitism needs to be singularly & unequivocally ID’ed, confronted, & eradicated. The horrifying scene in NYC, where Hamas sympathizers resort to violence, burn Israeli flags, display blatant antisemitism & throw fireworks into crowds, isn’t an isolated incident,” said Zeldin.

Pro-Israel House Democrats like Deutch and Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz have been at odds with the pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel “Hamas Squad,” as Rep. Chip Roy calls Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s “Squad,” but have refused to call out these few members out my name for fear of reprisal.

One House Democrat told The Floridian on the basis of anonymity, that he/she fears getting primary challenge if he/she decided to challenge the “reprehensible” anti-Israel rhetoric that Omar, Tlaib, Pressley, and Ocasio-Cortez have been espousing.

Reps. Ocasio-Cortez, Omar, and Tlaib, have all referred to Israel as an “Apartheid state,” a term that many Democrats like Texas Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D) do not agree with.
