Over the weekend, Rep. Kat Cammack (R-FL) delivered her first Republican Address of this Congress in honor of law enforcement officers for National Police Week, and called the GOP the party of "law and order."

Cammack delivered her powerful message before the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial on Sunday, where she thanked law enforcement officers for their service on behalf of the Republican delegation, despite "a growing call for their defunding."

Cammack opened: "As the wife of a firefighter & swat medic – I am humbled and honored to deliver the first Republican address of the year to not just my colleagues here in Washington – but to Americans and LEOs all across this incredible country of ours."

Going further into detail in regard to the political climate against first responders, Cammack said, "no doubt" that we are currently "in the breach, holding the line between lawlessness and order."

The representative did not hesitate to get political claiming that "Democrats on Capitol Hill have consistently voted to defund the police," adding "Republicans have continued to stand up as the party of law and order and support a well-funded, well-trained community of law enforcement officers."

Cammack promised all first responders and LEOs that the GOP will continue to be, "one team, one mission as a collective of loud voices and advocates for our first responders and law enforcement officers all across this country, I welcome any members regardless of party affiliation to join in this effort."

The representative then summed up her roughly five-minute speech by thanking GOP House leadership and extending her invite to Democrats for an "educational ride along."
