What’s a few million here and there?

The FL budget was at a $2 billion deficit, but now it appears as if the amount lawmakers need to fill in that gaping shortfall will only be $826 million. That’s it. What’s a measly $800 million?

Ha! That is still a huge number, but Speaker Chris Sprowls and Senate President Wilton Simpson should be able to find the cash they need to balance the budget.

This is also good news for the folks who don’t want the legislature to use monies appropriated to Affordable Housing to be used for anything else but housing around the state just to make ends meet. READ MORE

Big Ron’s Big Power Play Continues

After 60 Minutes and Florida Democrats failed miserably to paint him as a “pay-to-play” and unethical hump, Gov. Ron DeSantis seized their failure by calling out their “malarkey” (term used by Jared Moskowitz) and made it a point to outline their utter failure and lies for the world to see.

Because he did so, Youtube decided to take down his video of his press conference where he systematically dressed down CBS. Twitter then censored The Floridian’s coverage of the event, flagging it with a “sensitive content” warning label. MUST-READ

Salt in the Wound

We couldn't resist. Here is State Rep. Omari Hardy (D) pushing the fake "pay-to-play" narrative. During his press conference, DeSantis showed an image of Hardy at a Black Church in Palm Beach County overseeing the vaccine distribution.

Rep. Carlos G Smith @CarlosGSmith-How can you sue to try to re-open cruises during a pandemic AND insist on banning their use of 'vaccine passports' AT THE SAME TIME? I mean, do you want them to re-open or don't you @GovRonDeSantis?

Shevrin “Shev” Jones @ShevrinJones-If it's not gonna matter in 5 years, don't spend more than 5 minutes being upset about it.

FL Senate Dems @FLSenateDems-"We are Triple A rated by Moody's. It's the highest rating you can get for the pension fund." @FarmerForFLSen lays out fallacies in GOP arguments that FL pension fund is in trouble or needs overhaul, citing remarks made last month by FL SBA head who warned against closing fund.

Nikki Fried @nikkifried-As Florida's only Jewish statewide-elected official, #HolocaustRemembranceDay is personal to me. I've been an advocate for the Jewish community since I was a girl with @BBYOInside , @MOTLorg & more. We must always honor the victims & survivors, and stand against evil. #YomHaShoah
