HB 719 poses a serious threat to Floridians auto insurance rates and it is headed to a vote on Friday. While this legislation is purported to fix our no-fault auto insurance laws, it will fail to deliver meaningful savings for drivers and will in fact raise our insurance rates.
Given the financial burdens consumers and businesses have had to face due to the COVID-19 pandemic, now is not the time for lawmakers in Tallahassee to push major policy changes that could increase costs for Floridians. It is up to all of us to call our legislators and demand that they not pass this legislation.
