CPAC: DeSantis Levels Conservative Body Blow To 'Failed Republican Establishment'

Share

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ address to officially kick-of the CPAC conference in Orlando sounded more like a presidential campaign launch than a “Welcome to Florida, I’m the governor.”

Was this a prelude to things to come?

Conservatives in attendance roared as Rep. DeSantis not only targeted Democrats but took a huge swipe at the historically ‘centrist’ Republican Party.

“We cannot. We will not go back to the day of the failed Republican establishment of yesteryear,” stated DeSantis.

Gov. DeSantis also said that while other states shut down during the COVID-19 pandemic, he kept Florida open for business. DeSantis also pointed to many of his accomplishments over the past 3 years, including his firing of embattled Broward Supervisor of Election Brenda Snipes, and upcoming censorship legislation he will sign that will hold Big Tech accountable.

“In Florida, your vote counts,” said DeSantis.

The Big Tech censorship legislation DeSantis referred is the “Transparency in Technology Act Introduced by Rep. Blaise Ingoglia (R).

“It will pass,” said DeSantis. “And I will sign the most ambitious reform yet proposed or combatting political censorship and de-platforming for preventing Big Tech from interfering in our elections.”
