Democrat Schumer Accuses Trump of Committing 'Election fraud'

In response to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) leading the charge to object to Biden's electoral victory, New York Sen. Chuck Schumer (D) blasted the iconic GOP Senator over his claim of voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election and accused President Trump of the "election fraud" Sen. Cruz contends occurred.

On Wednesday, Congress will meet to certify the electoral college outcome.  Of course, Cruz and Schumer are both expected to be in attendance.

Sen. Schumer, who has been an outspoken critic of the President, was quick to cite the Washington Post in efforts to undermine the anticipated objections to the presidential election results.  The article tagged in Sen. Schumer's tweet was written in regard to the recent news of President Trump's controversial phone call with GA Secretary of State, Brad Raffenssperger (R).

While some, such as house Democrats have echoed their cries for impeachment, others have shamed Raffensperger for leaking the call in the first place.  Sen. David Perdue (R), who is currently fighting in the GA runoff race against Jon Ossoff, did not hesitate to characterize the Secretary's actions as, "disgusting" on Fox News.

January 6th will be an explosive day in Washington if the political slander is any indication of the future.  We can expect Democrats to hold the line, but the Republicans currently only have a fraction of their Senators signed up to fight for Trump's last stand.

Among the major GOP Senators, you can expect to object on Wednesday:  Josh Hawley (R-MO), Ron Johnson (R-WI), and John Kennedy (R-LA).

While Florida Senators Marco Rubio and Rick Scott have yet to say if they will be backing their fellow Republican's play, several members of U.S. House of Representatives, Reps. Kat Cammack, Brian Mast, Byron Donalds, and Matt Gaetz have already signed on to defend the president.

Nevertheless, Schumer and Congressional Democrats remain confident in barring Republicans' efforts to reverse the election results.  Schumer stated in a tweet that he responded to Cruz's objection letter in a simple statement,

"Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will be President and Vice President of the United States in 18 days."

Since the New Year, Sen. Schumer has reminded his Twitter feed of Biden's inauguration countdown on four different occasions, of the five days in the year so far.
