Rep. Val Demings (D) continues to call for full accountability for those she says were involved in the Capitol riot, those who "lied" about the election results and "tried to overturn our democracy."

The Members of Congress who lied about the election tried to overturn our democracy, and helped incite the January 6th attack on the Capitol must be held accountable," tweeted Rep. Demings. "They betrayed their oaths of office. We can’t simply return to “business as usual.”

The three points that Demings has stated about congressional Republicans who have "betrayed their oaths of office" just about categorizes every single Republican in Congress.

According to The Washington Post,  a recent poll they conducted of 249 Republican members of Congress, the overwhelming majority of legislators polled support President Trump's past claim of victory over now-President Joe Biden.

Over 200 of these Republicans would not say if Biden won the election.

It's not clear if those 200 or so Republicans who have refused to accept Biden as the winner of the 2020 general election would be thrown into the group of Republicans who "lied about the election."

Democrats want all congressional Republicans, who they believe was somehow remotely involved with inciting the riot, overturning the election results, and lying about the election, to be removed from Congress.

From the looks of it, the entire Republican congressional caucus would have to be removed from office for questioning the Biden presidential campaign, and any apparent instance of voter fraud or voting irregularities.
