As President Donald Trump (R) continues to make the case that Americans should be receiving $2,000 as their next stimulus check, he is also still challenging the results of the November 3rd election. In doing so, the President still has some supporters within the GOP, but some Republicans have also made it clear that they do not agree with the President’s legal challenges, and they’ve signaled that Trump should face defeat and make way for an incoming Biden administration. One such lawmaker that is making headlines for combating President Trump is Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R), who’s slammed the President while facing criticism himself by being called a RINO.
Over the weekend, President Trump commented that both the FBI and the Department of “Justice” did “nothing about the 2020 Presidential Election Voter Fraud,” which he called “the biggest SCAM in our nation’s history, despite overwhelming evidence.” The President noted that both agencies “should be ashamed” and that “history will remember” before doubling down on his efforts to challenge the results. The President admitted that he would “see everyone in D.C. on January 6th.”
Kinzinger, arguing that conservatives should “restore the GOP,” responded by saying that Trump is “trying to burn the place down on the way out because you can’t handle losing.” He added that there’s “no evidence, nothing but your temper tantrum and crazy conspiracies” before expressing that this is “embarrassing.”
My God. Trying to burn the place down on the way out because you can’t handle losing. No evidence, nothing but your temper tantrum and crazy conspiracies. Embarrassing. #RestoreOurGOP https://t.co/dck64tuxJa

Kinzinger went on to say that President Trump was only providing empty threats and empty words, explaining that “all this talk about Jan 6th” will only result in fundraising while gaining “followers by blaming everyone else knowing full well they can’t do anything.”
For Kinzinger, “it’s sad, and an utter scam.”
All this talk about Jan 6th from @realDonaldTrump and other congressional grifters is simply explained: they will raise money and gain followers by blaming everyone else knowing full well they can’t do anything. It’s sad, and an utter scam. #restoreourgop

The Illinois Republican has also voiced his disapproval of what he calls “conspiracies,” and he maintains that Republicans must “Restore the GOP” at a time when the party faces infighting.
