Florida Senator Marco Rubio (R), the Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, took to Twitter this week to provide a “WARNING,” explaining that “the bulk of disinformation attacks prepared by our adversaries were designed for the days before & just after Election Day.”

The Florida lawmaker added that “they may come faster than they can be spotted & called out, so word to the wise, the more outlandish the claim, the likelier it’s foreign influence.”

The warning comes as the election is under a week away, and it directly comes after the FBI announced that both Russia and Iran are the culprits behind emails that were sent to Democratic voters, which instructed them to switch to the Republican party and to also vote for President Trump (R) in the November 3rd election.

After the announcement was made by FBI Director Christopher Wray and John Ratcliffe, the director of national intelligence, spokespeople for both Iran and Russia have both denied any foreign interference in the upcoming November election.

However, lawmakers in the United States have been on alert since the announcement, actively trying to ensure that the upcoming election is as effective and efficient as possible and that it is not affected by foreign interference of any kind.
