Spalding slams Wasserman Schultz with 'Corrupt Debbie' campaign

Share

Republican congressional candidate Carla Spalding has taken a big swipe at incumbent Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D) just a day after Progressive Tim Canova endorsed her over Wasserman Schultz, by sending out a campaign mailer calling her “corrupt,” and lists the veteran congresswoman’s alleged political missteps.

These alleged missteps include her rigging of the 2016 election in favor of Hillary Clinton over Sen. Bernie Sanders, her hiring of “criminal staffers,” her support for “the Criminal Black Lives Matter/Antifa” movement, and the allegation that she shoved a minor during the 2020 Democratic primary election.

Wasserman Schultz’s opponent Jen Perelman, who also called her corrupt, accused her of accosting the minor, who in term posted a video on social media detailing the early voting encounter.

Spalding’s mailer is also anchored by a matching website that highlights all of the allegations made against Rep. Wasserman Schultz, and at her, on some positions and votes, she has taken on issues, including that she “wants to raise taxes,” that she voted to “cut Veterans benefits,” and that she was “no friend of Israel” because she voted in favor of the Iran Nuclear Deal. www.CorruptDebbieWassermanschultz.com is the website.

Spalding cites her sources, and upon researching all of them, the mailer and website appear to be accurate. One of the entries is from a story we published after speaking to then-candidates Perelman about the assault incident.

There were some items that we had to dig a little deeper but were able to get to the fact of the matter:

Allegations – Supports Criminal Black Lives Matter.

Finding: We could not find one instance where ‘DWS’ has denounced the violent rioting, nor did we find any criticism of the BLM and Antifa movements, just support for BLM.

Allegation -Being sued for Corruption

Finding: ‘DWS’ is still listed in a calls action lawsuit made by Democrats against the Democratic National Committee (DNC)

Allegation – Voted to defund police

Finding: ‘DWS’ voted for the Justice in Policing Act of 2020, which would defund/cut federal dollars from local and state police if they did not conform to the bill.

We tried reaching out to Wasserman Schultz’s campaign but have not heard back.
