Republican Anna Paulina Luna won her primary last night, cementing herself as the candidate that will be taking on Florida Rep. Charlie Crist (D) in hopes of flipping the district red.

Last night, after her victory, President Trump congratulated the congressional hopeful, admitting that he has “watched your race from beginning, very impressed.”

He added that her “next opponent, Charlie Crist, is a Pelosi puppet who is bad on Crime, our Military, Vets, & 2nd Amendment” before adding that she has “my Complete & Total Endorsement.”

In response to the endorsement, Luna thanked the President, expressing that “our country needs fighters right now & elected officials that will not cave to the mob,” adding that she is “not backing down” and that she has the President’s back.

She stressed that she “will work hard for Florida’s 13th district, that I can guarantee you, and the citizens of my district” before asserting that “we will win!”

In the weeks leading up to the primary elections, Luna has consistently slammed former Florida Governor Crist for the work he's done in Congress, and Luna recently criticized the congressman for allegedly ignoring voter calls.

She called for the congressman to "answer the questions," but Rep. Crist has not responded to the accusations.
