Republican Amanda Makki, who’s vying for Florida’s 13th Congressional district seat, has had a strong week on the campaign trail by winning back-to-back polls that were surveyed by the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce.

She is the Republican frontrunner who has received a number of high-profile endorsements in her bid for the seat, and it seems that the support for her candidacy has only grown stronger since announcing her intention to run.

In response to the polls, Makki commented that “the opportunity to listen to the business owners and employees concerns from the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce was fantastic!” She “shared why I am the best candidate to partner with President Trump to get our post-COVID 19 economy back on track, lower healthcare costs for small businesses and fight for term limits.” Moreover, she admitted how humbled she is “to know that Pinellas voters see me as the best candidate to achieve those things.”

In her race to win the seat, Makki noted that “by winning  Chamber of Commerce straw polls in the Tampa Bay Area,” she understands that “we are speaking the voice of the people who want. To see a conservative agenda, a Member of Congress who stands with President Trump and is the only Conservative candidate who can retire Charlie Crist in November.”

Former Florida Governor Charlie Crist (D) has received criticism from his Republican opponents over his partisan voting record. Propublica.com recently announced that Crist voted in line with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D) 100% of the time. And, when it comes to voting in line with the Democratic-Socialist "Squad," Crist has voted in line with them 94%-93% of the time.
